Love and Modern Vices

Scott Wright is a guitarist and songwriter originally from Los Angeles, Ca, whose passion for music has taken him from legendary la clubs to the vibrant stages of las vegas-and now Portland, Or where he now calls home. His lates project, Love and modern vices, is a sonic exploration of shoegaze, alt-rock and grunge, brought to life in collaboration with his wife and creative partner Christine Churches Wright. Their Debut single, “Give you the world,” is set to drop on all major streaming platforms, signaling the start of something raw, loud, and deeply personal.

Scott’s music career began early. by the age of 16, he had already graduated highschool and was performing in iconic venues like the whiskey a go go, Viper Room and Key Club with his first band tempe terra. the band went on to record and ep at sound asylum studio with grammy winning producer Mike troolines, and gained regional acclaim by winning kroq’s locals only battle of the bands at the queen mary, taking home title of best rock act. other notable performances we are the house of blues and chain reaction in anaheim, cementing his place in southern california’s competitive alt-rock scene.

following his time in la, scott relocated to las vegas where he joined the band demi vie. there, he continued to evolve as a performer , playing stages across the city including the bunkhouse saloon, the velveteen rabbit, house of blues las vegas and the artifice, among many others.

now based in portland, scott’s focus is firmly on love and modern vices- a band born of love, life experiences, and a desire to break new ground in alternative rock. with swirling guitars, emotionally charged lyrics, and a wall-of-sound approach that tips its hat to classic shoegaze while forging its own path, the band is poised to carve out a spave all its own.
